Perfect hygienic bathing with the CONTI+ CNX water management system

The Nautilus leisure pool in Gladenbach has been using CONTI+ sanitary fittings technology for years in combination with the innovative CONTI+ water management system.

The leisure pool has both electronic concealed shower fittings with thermostatic mixing unit with anti-scald protection and piezo button as well as CONTI+ wellness & spa products, such as rain and jet shower heads, bucket flood shower, Kneipp sets and outdoor showers.


Functional reliability and ease of maintenance were very important in the decision to use CONTI+ products, in particular the fact that all CONTI+ showers allow maintenance work to be carried out from the front of the unit without removing components.

Based on a significant reduction in operating costs largely due to reduced repair costs, the technical operations manager Heinrich Reitz also had one of the first water management systems installed, the CONTI+ CNX system, which has provided the best service in terms of hygiene requirements for years .

CONTInuous system monitoring

CONTI+ CNX offers continuous monitoring of all executed functions and actions, with an immediate visual display of any detected malfunctions. Immediately after execution, corresponding blue (successful) or red (unsuccessful) operating messages are shown on the display for all completed functions, but also for all activities carried out – summarised as a general overview in the “Operating messages” software level.

After processing, these must be acknowledged accordingly. The operating messages are documented in a continued and unchangeable manner, particularly in the logs of the hygiene flushing and thermal disinfection. This ensures that the results of preventive measures are documented consistently, including for third parties.

Other benefits of the CNX system

  • Drag and drop functionality allows routines and hygiene programs to be set up easily.
  • Whenever the CNX controller gets an internet connection via LAN, all software updates are automatically transferred to the electronic units and the converter.
  • The CONTI+ CNX water management system can be integrated into a building management system via an API

CONTI+ CNX is an intuitive water management system

The CONTI+ CNX water management system has an innovative, browser-based interface that, thanks to its program routines, offers maximum functional reliability and flexibility in the mapping of property and customer-specific hygiene activities in relation to hygiene flushing and thermal disinfection.

System components are the CNX control box enabling connection options for 64 or 150 fittings, as well as one CNX converter per fitting. This makes CONTI+ the only supplier able to operate such a large number of fitting units with just one control unit, whether tree, line or star topology.

Whether via interval or calendar control, operators can also control a wide variety of sanitary rooms, groups of fittings or individual fittings as desired. Storage of multiple programs for each individual fitting and the simplest parameter maintenance are also possible for a large number of fittings through the multiple programming selection while complying with the highest security specifications. Operation is easy via PC, tablet or smartphone.

User definition and management, including via different user interfaces, with correspondingly definable action options and clear traceability of initiated and programmed activities are also enabled.

Hygiene and thus the avoidance of germs, including Legionella and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and the health of our approximately 200,000 bathers every year is very important to us. Of course, this must not only be reflected in the purely practical implementation, for example through automatic hygiene flushing and thermal disinfection, but must also offer verification vis-à-vis third parties, such as the health department.
