Male washroom refit

Worthing Assembly Hall

Saving water and improving washroom ambience

Worthing Assembly Hall is a multi-purpose entertainment venue. It frequently hosts live bands, is home to the Worthing Symphony Orchestra and the Wurlitzer Organ, as well as hosting regular dances, comedy nights and other events. Often used in a theatre style it can easily become a venue for exhibitions, conferences, antiques and collectors fairs.

The need for improvement

Worthing Assembly Hall was facing significant challenges with its aging washroom facilities. The men’s washroom in particular had deteriorated to the point where it became a priority for urgent attention. As part of a broader initiative to modernize the building’s facilities and reduce its environmental footprint, the organization engaged in a project to overhaul the washrooms with a focus on water conservation. Ecoprod was selected to implement a solution that would both improve the facilities and significantly reduce water consumption.

Working with Ecoprod

The washroom renovation, including the installation of water-saving urinals, was completed in approximately six weeks. Throughout the project the client was impressed by Ecoprod’s professionalism. Ecoprod provided clear, accurate paperwork at every stage and the subcontractors used by Ecoprod were also carefully chosen and highly skilled, further contributing to the smooth execution of the project.

Exploring water saving solutions

With sustainability in mind, the decision was made to incorporate water-saving technologies into the washroom renovation. The goal was to improve the functionality and aesthetics of the washroom while also reducing water consumption.

Ecoprod was invited to quote for the project and after a thorough review was selected based on both cost-effectiveness and their strong focus on sustainability. The decision to work with Ecoprod aligned with the organisation’s ethical commitment to water conservation and environmental responsibility.

What the client says about this project

The feedback from both staff and visitors has been overwhelmingly positive. There has been a noticeable improvement in the quality of the facilities and in addition to the aesthetic and functional improvements, the water-saving measures have begun to demonstrate their value. While it’s still too early to quantify the full extent of the water savings, the project is part of a wider organizational strategy to bring sustainability to the forefront of operations.

The project was completed on time and on budget. Remarkably, the final invoice matched the original quote exactly, a rarity in construction projects where unforeseen expenses often arise.

As a result of this positive experience, we are already planning to work with Ecoprod on future projects. Several quotes have already been requested for other works within the organisation, and the successful collaboration on this project has laid the foundation for a long-term partnership.
